If no-one has a decent condition one for sale second hand, you can still get older models new with full warranty. The Garmin 205 (and 305 with a heart rate monitor) are both now superseded models but are still available cheaply. I've had a 205 for some years now. I had my first one for over 4 years and used it for every run until it broke. I bought another in July this year to replace it as it was the cheapest I could get with the functionality I wanted. They are a bit big on the wrist, so it's not too bad on mine but on Anne's wrist it's a bit chunky. They work really well e.g. they don't lose the signal at all in my experience. Amazon are selling the 205 for £82. The 305 is basically identical but with a heart rate monitor and they are selling that for £100. Be careful if you go for a current Garmin model because not all Garmin's have GPS (I think it's the Forerunner 50 that is just a watch).
